A two-day immersive workshop exploring the art, craft and business of wedding floristry through the lens of season-led design.
Unlike many floral design workshops, this masterclass looks at a wedding as a complete project. Together, we will break down the design, flower selection, mechanics, logistics, pricing and installation of a wedding, exploring not just how to create beautiful wedding flowers, but how to deliver wedding work that is creatively ambitious, operationally achievable and financially sustainable.
Day one takes place in the Walled Garden and Flower Barn, where we'll explore flower selection, seasonality, pricing and the design process, before creating bridal bouquets, buttonholes and wearable flowers.
Day two moves to the beautiful church neighbouring the Howbury Estate, where we'll create large-scale ceremony flowers including tumbling asymmetric urns and a wild, seasonal entrance installation, whilst exploring the practical realities of transportation, installation and working on site.
Throughout the two days, we'll analyse each design decision, sustainable mechanics and commercial considerations, effectively slowing a wedding down so that every stage of the process can be properly understood.
All flowers will be cut from the Walled Garden and sourced from local growers, with foliage and natural materials foraged from across the Estate.
Lunch, refreshments, flowers, materials and comprehensive course notes (including pricing and financial analysis excel sheet) are all included.
