The Season-Led Sustainable Florist

from £1,195.00

A year-long journey through the seasons.

The Season-Led Florist is our flagship in-person programme, designed for florists who want to immerse themselves in the changing seasons, develop their own creative voice and build a floristry business that is environmentally, emotionally and financially sustainable.

Over twelve months, you'll work with the flowers as they appear throughout the year, learning how to respond to the unique opportunities and challenges presented by each season.

Rather than teaching you to follow recipes, we teach you how to write your own.

By the end of the programme, you'll have developed a deep understanding of seasonality, sustainable mechanics, floral design and the practical realities of building a successful floristry business.

Why Choose The Season-Led Florist?

Learn Through The Seasons

Flowers are not static. The flowers available in spring are entirely different to those available in autumn. The design opportunities, challenges and considerations change throughout the year.

Rather than teaching floristry through a fixed set of ingredients, we teach you how to respond to the flowers as they are presented to you at each point in the year.

Develop Your Own Style

Most floristry courses teach techniques. We teach techniques too. But more importantly, we teach you how to make design decisions for yourself.

The goal isn't to create arrangements that look like ours. The goal is to help you develop a style that looks like yours.

Master The Fundamentals

From bouquets and wedding flowers to sympathy work, tablescapes, centrepieces and installations, you'll build a strong foundation in floral design, flower handling and sustainable mechanics.

Build A Sustainable Business

Alongside the floristry, you'll receive twelve months of The Business of Floristry.

Because successful floristry isn't just about creating beautiful flowers. It's about building a business that is financially, emotionally and environmentally sustainable too.

What You'll Learn

Your first season begins with a three-day immersive workshop where we cover the foundations of season-led floristry.

Together we'll explore:

  • Flower selection, cutting, conditioning and care

  • Floral design principles, including colour, proportion, movement and texture

  • Hand-tied bouquets and vase arrangements

  • Wedding flowers, including bridal bouquets and buttonholes

  • Tablescapes and centrepieces

  • Sympathy flowers and farewell designs

  • Sustainable floristry mechanics

  • Meadow arrangements, urns and floral installations

The following seasons build on these foundations, revisiting similar design challenges through the lens of each season's unique flowers, foliage and design conditions.

The structure remains broadly the same. The ingredients never do. That’s the joy of it.

How The Programme Works

The Season-Led Florist is designed as a twelve-month journey through spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Students can join in spring, summer or autumn.

Your first season begins with an immersive three-day workshop.

You then return for one day in each of the remaining seasons, including winter.

This allows you to experience the full cycle of the floral year whilst building your skills and confidence over time.

A Rolling Cohort

The rolling intake is intentional.

Throughout the year, you'll learn alongside students at different stages of their journey. Some will be experiencing a season for the first time. Others will be returning to it with the benefit of a year's experience.

This creates a richer learning environment and a broader network than a traditional closed cohort.

Because floristry is rarely built in isolation. Many of the opportunities, collaborations and friendships that shape a successful floristry business begin through the relationships we build along the way.
