Garden to Vase Workshop
This half-day workshop (9.30am - 12.30pm) is aimed at flower lovers, amateurs and those wanted to feel more confident arranging with locally grown flowers - whether they are grown in your own garden or by a local flower farmer.
The workshop begins with a tour of the historic walled garden by Lucy, exploring the British flowers that are growing at the time of the course. You will learn the all important ‘how and when’ to cut and condition them for arranging.
Cissy will explain how to select flowers for arrangements based on colour, texture, proportion and asymmetry. You will cut your own bucketful of flowers and foliage and then learn how to design into a vase using sustainable and foam-free techniques. Bring your favourite vase or add the Foredays’ ‘Perfect Vase’ to your purchase.
The workshop will finish with a light lunch.
