              Dahlia Day 2025
Join us on Friday November 7th (10am - 2pm or 4.30pm) for a day that celebrates the final flourish of the dahlia before the close of the 2025 flower season.
We’ll begin the morning in the Walled Garden, among the rows of dahlias in all their variety of colour and form. Then we’ll make our way to Howbury Hall, where, under Cissy’s creative guidance, you’ll learn to arrange your dahlias into a free form vase or bowl arrangement.
Afterwards, we’ll come together around a long table for a shared lunch, created with ingredients freshly picked from the Kitchen Garden.
In the afternoon, you can choose to head home, arms full with your dahlia arrangement, or stay on to flex your flor-art-istry and create a large, collaborative dahlia installation. Those who stay will also take home a florist’s bucket brimming with dahlias to continue arranging in their own time.
This day is for those who simply love dahlias, or those curious to learn more about the School and how we teach, those who might be interested in learning more from Cissy in the future, those who just want to spend a morning among the flowers in a magical setting, or those yearning one last day of floral colour and creativity before the garden rests for winter.
Please don’t forget to bring a vase or bowl and kenzan with you to arrange into so you can take your arrangements home.
In the event of an unexpected frost ahead of the workshop, participants will receive a full refund.
