Autumn Workshop
September 25th 1pm UK
The peak time for British flowers (even though everyone thinks it’s summer). Autumn is a time of abundance, of the harvest, and allows us to incorporate not only flowers, but also fruiting branches, seeds heads, different texture and the beautifully mottled changing foliage.
As the season draws to a close, autumn also becomes a bit more challenging with the tap dance around events as the weather cools, and the uncertainty around the date of when the first frosts will and how to manage dwindling flower supplies.
Our final workshop of the year will explore these questions, as well as exploring the creation of a hanging installation.
During the workshop, we will cover:
cutting and conditioning autumn flowers
managing flower supply (and customer expectations) as the season comes to an end
demonstration of a hanging installation
questions and answers
You can download the cutting list for the materials required if you would like to arrange alongside or after the workshop. (The cutting list will be uploaded closer to the date of the workshop to ensure alignment with the flowers available in late September).
The zoom dial in will be emailed ahead of the workshop. The recording will be uploaded to the Videos section of the website following the workshop.
